One of the earliest colonies established by the Orthesian Dynasty, Alacia is now a thriving world within the Imperium. The Dynasty can still lay claim to vast sums of wealth, and powerful political allies close to the heart of the Imperium.


Gehennos Monastery

In 126.M35, Lord-Captain Hugo Orthesian contributed funding to the establishment of a monastery on the world of Gehennos. Through a clerical error, a certain percentage of the monastery’s tithes have been siphoned off into the Orthesian’s coffers. Over the past six thousand years, more than a few scribes and adepts have noticed the discrepancy, but any efforts to resolve it are inevitably lost in the endless layers of bureaucracy that the Imperium employs.


Forgotten Assets

When a Dynasty as large and as powerful as the Orthesians disappears, it can take centuries to sort out all of their assets. In the end, there was a large portion of their wealth that was, more or less, forgotten. With the Dynasty’s return, this wealth is immediately available, not needing to go through the endless red tape of the Administratum in order for it to be returned to its rightful owners.


Segmentum Obscurus Trade Routes

The early centuries of the Dynasty were devoted to the establishment of stable trade routes throughout the Imperium, and into Segmentum Obscurus. A portion of the profit from these routes still find its way to the Orthesians.

An Agri-World within the Calixis Sector, Spectoris was first colonized by the Orthesian Dynasty, less than a century before their disappearance. The Planetary Governor, Grimmis Vard, was quick to re-establish connections when the Dynasty resurfaced.


Hemelshot Nephium Mines

Hemelshot, a world deep within the Koronus Expanse, is home to a large Nephium mining complex, maintained by the Disciples of Thule. Despite the fact that the Orthesian Dynasty disappeared centuries before the opening of the Koronus Expanse, this mining complex is counted among their assets.


House Corthari Trade Agreements
